“ John R. W. Stott served as Chaplain to the Queen of England and was named by TIME magazine (1995) as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. His influence was described in The Independent as 'colossal'. This friend of Billy Graham became homeless in central London, to find out what it was like to sleep rough. He lived in two rooms for his last 40 years. He led the way for urban church-planting, and was known as 'Uncle John' by thousands of students around the world. In one university, the students hired a plane to fly low above the campus and drop leaflets to tell everyone he would be speaking that week. In another, the students from the Atheist Society came to his meetings, and the society was disbanded for a student generation!” (From Works by John Stott – Biographies –
