Our Church Involvement in the Program
Do you know that human trafficking is VERY REAL right here in Canyon County? An incident experienced by our own Debbie Kraft bears evidence of this fact! The Idaho Anti-Trafficking Coalition reports 27.2% of self-identified victims are Idahoans trafficked here and out of state. Over 71% of victims are women and girls who encounter high rates of physical and sexual violence including torture and homicide, psychological abuse, horrific work and living conditions, and extreme deprivation during transit!
Our church has gotten involved with LOVE Caldwell in helping host meetings for concerned residents, business professionals and parents to learn about what human trafficking is, who the “targets” are, what the warning signs are, and what you can do if you encounter a trafficking scenario.
